رعاية الأيتام والأسر المحرومة من أهم أهداف الهيئة حيث يوجد الآلاف من الأيتام والأرامل والأسر التي لا معيل لها في أمس الحاجة إلى المعونة العاجلة لسد حاجاتهم وخاصة في الدول المنكوبة بالحروب والنكبات والصراعات العرقية والسياسية.

تشجع الهيئة الأسر المحتاجة على العمل بتوفير مشاريع صغيرة تساعدهم على اكتساب قوت يومهم والاستغناء عن السؤال مثال مشاريع الخياطة والتطريز والفنون اليدوية وبيع المرطبات والوجبات الخفيفة ونحو ذلك.

Taking care of orphans and destitute families is one of IICO's most important goals, for there are thousands of orphans and widows particularly in countries afflicted with wars and civil conflicts, left behind without providers and are in desperate need for help. IICO spends a specific percentage of its aid as grants to orphans, widows, and families that lost their breadwinner to help them overcome a crises, begin a new life, or start self employment project.
