تتركز أولويات الهيئة في إقامة المشروعات التنموية الإنتاجية التي تهدف إلى توفير الغذاء والماء والاحتياجات الأساسية بالإضافة إلى فرص العمل للمجتمعات الفقيرة لتتمكن من المساهمة الجادة فى تحسين أوضاعها المعيشية حتى تستغنى عن السؤال و الاعتماد على الغير.

ومن هذه المشاريع حفر الآبار لتأمين مورد لمياه الشرب والرى والمزارع الحديثة والمشاريع الزراعية لإنتاج الحبوب وغيرها. وكذلك مزارع الأبقار والدواجن والضأن والأسماك والمناحل و غيرها.

IICO gives great priority to productive projects that aim at providing reasonable income to the for the needy communities as well as employment opportunities so that they  rely on themselves and become selfsuffcient. Examples of these projects are: farming and agricultural projects, animal rearing, fisheries, poultry's farms, and beehives insure constant food supply.
